So by now most people have got the memo about sugary drinks. But what’ve we got now instead? A whole bunch of drinks selling us the ‘no added sugar’ story by using nasty sweeteners like sucralose – or simply by using sugar by another name (yes we’re looking at you honey/dates/brown rice syrup/agave nectar/maple etc etc)
At the end of the day though, if you’re looking to seriously downsize sugar out of your life, none of those are gonna work. If you want a plant-based sweetener that won’t spike your blood glucose, there are several good options, including organic stevia and organic erythritol.
